Swirls in the desert wind
Like tiny tornados
Amusing
Melancholic
Inspiring

What journeys
What tales
These grains of sand
Know
That eludes
The seeking

Poignant
Pregnant
Warm air
Caresses moist skin
Hands shade eyes
From blinding sun

There
On the horizon
Dust clouds
Fast approaching
Lay still
Surrendering

First layers
Like sandy tomb
Fall heavily
Hands grasp
Lifting
Life lease renewed

It's been a while since I penned anything, more for the lack of feeling I have creativity left in me.

Hence this is an attempt after a long long hiatus from poetic rambling.

I hope I might capture the essence without sounding like a loony.

scorching
burning
blinding

blue skies
span endless
after days of dour clouds
tainting moods

expectant
hopeful
bursting excitement
something waits

slow tired steps
quicken to unheard beat
rhythm gains tempo
persistent demanding

fear dissolves
failure not so daunting
possibilities innumerable
inhibitions shed

past hold lessons
future the unknown
present shapes molds
change like clear skies
welcomed awaits
those who embrace
plunging feet first
landing on solid ground
