Semblance of Calm Sept 18, 2007

graceful and effortless
upon the surface they glide
in a silence
worthy of such adulation
gentle ripples
carry the diminishing rays
beneath like crazy
webbed feet paddle
working hard to keep
semblance of calm

Silenced Tempest Sept 21, 2007

exterior displays a calmness
almost surreal in its serenity
kind words uttered
soft squeeze of hands
tight warm hugs
relay more than spoken words
within the realm of consciousness
tumultuous and volatile
each new dawn each day's dusk
brings not forth the peace sought after
silence heavy impenetrable
the storm rages on inside
no visible signs
captured nor seen
of those carrying
the yoke of suffering
silenced the tempest
resides unavoidable

I see you've found yourself suddenly here amidst the poetic scribbles of my rambling mind often incoherent to the general you and only understood by myself.
